"Food For Thought" is a project co-designed with Industrial Design students Usna Ghaffar and Jesus Cuellar. Legacy Community Health as well as Houston's Habitat for Humanity collaborated during the field study as our class's teams designed areas of a clinic that would be constructed in a new community in East Houston called Robin’s Landing. My team decided to design a playful structure for children’s play areas in health clinics. The playful structure has a focus on providing education to children about nutritional diet as well as promote healthy eating habits through the use of playful wall graphics. We also collaborated with another group that shared the same children's play area. Their designs consisted of seating structures/puzzles that resembled important body organs.
